Abdulhamid Khorasani, chief of police of Panjshir province, was fired

HINDU KUSH, March 18 - Sangar, Hasib Sangari. However, Taliban* officials announced that he had been fired three months earlier and acted arbitrarily and illegally during that time.

Abubakr Siddiq, the spokesman for the Panjshir governor, told the Sangar website that the order to sack Khorasani was issued three months ago.

“He was not a Mujahideen (a member of the Taliban) in the past, he was a stubborn person, a thief and a robber, and earlier he spoke out a lot against the Islamic emirate, the evidence of which exists and is known to the people. From the very beginning, he was never officially appointed as the head of the Panjshir police, and his order was not issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs,” he said.

He added that today, March 19, the presentation ceremony of the new police chief, Atikullah Siddiqi, was held at the Panjshir provincial administration building.

“According to the approval of the local authorities of Panjshir and the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, he has been working in his position for a month now. Every action that Khorasani did was arbitrary and illegal, and he had no official authority to do so,” said Abubakr Siddiq.

Atikulla Siddiqui is a resident of the village of Bazarak, the capital of the Panjshir province. According to a spokesman for the Panjshir governor, he has done valuable work in the past in support of the Islamic emirate.

Meanwhile, informed sources report that Atikullah Siddiqui is an illiterate person who, compared to Khorasani, who graduated from the 8th grade, did not attend school and that the reason for his appointment was primarily to maintain a regional balance in Panjshir, since the governor is a representative of the Pariyan district, and so far no Taliban leader in Panjshir has been from Bazarak, the provincial capital or birthplace of Ahmad Shah Massoud, the founder of the anti-Taliban resistance.

Atikullah Siddiqi was a Taliban intelligence officer who was wounded a few days ago by the bodyguard of Mawlawi Kudratullah, the governor of Panjshir. He prevented this bodyguard from taking bribes. Hamid Khorasani took care of his case.

Hamid Khorasani was from the village of Anaba, Rukh district. He is one of the most controversial figures in Panjshir, who, up until his imprisonment for opposing Amrullah Saleh, the then First Vice President of Afghanistan, was engaged in criminal activities in Kabul, such as theft and looting. After his release, he took refuge in the Panjshir mountains and opposed the central government. From time to time he shouted slogans against the Taliban and ISIS and declared himself a follower of Ahmad Shah Massoud, but one day, before the Panjshir wars, he swore allegiance to the "amiralmu'minin" of the Taliban and declared war on the National Resistance Front.

After the fall of Panjshir to the Taliban, he was appointed chief of the provincial police. But in recent days, he lost his temper due to the fact that he quarreled with the governor of Panjshir Mawlawi Qudratullah and posted a video on social networks - an appeal to Mullah Hibatullah, an "amiralmu'minin" of the Taliban, where he complained about the “illegal actions” of the governor, and the next day it was announced his dismissal.

At the moment, it is not clear exactly where Khorasani is and what he is doing. What Sangar knows is that he is at home and under the supervision of the Taliban.
