National Resistance Front of Afghanistan forces have killed and wounded some 240 Taliban members* in 90 military operations over the past six months.

DUSHANBE, January 1 - News agency "Muqavimat" - "Sangar". 8 Jadi 1402, that is, December 29, 2023, the head of the military committee of the National Resistance Front, General Qadamshah Shahim, presented a detailed report on military events over the past six months at the regular meeting of the Political Council chaired by Ahmad Masud, the leader of the National Resistance Front, which is as follows:

The National Resistance Front forces, to achieve their military goals, which are the destruction of terrorists and the liberation of Afghanistan from the rule of the Taliban terrorist group, have organized and carried out 90 military operations from June last year to the present. Combat operations include surprise guerrilla attacks on enemy positions and ambushes. Enemy combat vehicles were mined along the enemy's path, and counterattacks were carried out in 12 provinces of the country.

During these operations, 128 Taliban terrorists were killed and another 110 terrorists were wounded, bringing the total number of enemy casualties to 238.

More than 10 leaders of the Taliban terrorist movement were killed, and several commanders of this terrorist group were also wounded.

Damage inflicted on the enemy includes the destruction of some military equipment. Dozens of enemy weapons and ammunition fell into the hands of National Resistance forces.

It is worth noting that during this period, a large number of members of the Taliban terrorist group were killed or wounded by other armed groups and individuals throughout the country, which is not included in this report.

During this period, National Resistance forces were still able to capture four enemy fighters. Because the National Resistance Forces are committed to upholding humanitarian principles and the rules of war, enemy prisoners are treated well.

The National Resistance forces, in line with their commitment to prevent civilian casualties and harm to innocent people, exercised utmost caution during their operations to prevent casualties and damage to our dear people, and for this reason, most operations were carried out at night. Fortunately, there were no civilian casualties during the operations.

Unfortunately, over the past six months, 13 national resistance fighters, including Commander Tahir and Commander Qamaruddin Andarabi, brave commanders of the National Resistance Front, have joined the caravan of martyrs. Five members of the National Resistance forces were also wounded during the liberation operations. These numbers show a significant decline compared to last year.

The most operations were carried out in the provinces of Kabul, Takhar, Parwan, Kapisa, Baghlan, Badakhshan, Laghman, and Nuristan (in descending order).

Recall that during 1402, the forces of the National Resistance Front, in addition to planning and conducting military operations and promoting the military cause, also paid attention to capacity building and organizational development. Additional training was carried out and the combat capabilities of the resistance forces were increased to more effectively fight the enemy. This program will be developed in the future. In the future, the Resistance Front intends to strengthen its activities and conduct more operations against the enemy.

*The Taliban is considered a terrorist organization in many countries.
