The US does not change its strategy anywhere and ever

Author: Talib Aliyev, especially for Sangar

There is a very clear pattern to the actions of the United States. Americans contribute to the emergence of a socio-economic crisis in another country, then they push this country against another state or people, and after that, they support the fire that has flared up by allocating huge financial resources.

The most striking example of this American strategy is the situation in Afghanistan. After the US left Afghanistan in August 2021, where they allegedly fought the Taliban and international terrorism, the Americans left their military equipment to the same Taliban, the cost of which is estimated at 85 billion dollars. This was reported by the British newspaper The Telegraph, referring to US Congressman Jim Banks. In total, the Taliban received 600,000 small arms, 200 helicopters, and planes, about 75,000 vehicles, as well as night vision devices, body armor, and much more. The same Banks said that today the Taliban has more Black Hawk helicopters than 85% of the world's countries. But the most interesting thing is that this situation completely suits the United States. At the same time, in the White House, for some reason, no one thinks about either the return of army property or the punishment of those responsible for its loss. How is this possible in a so-called rule-of-law democratic state?

But instead of finding the perpetrators and finding out the reasons for what happened, the United States, through the presidential special envoy for Afghanistan, Tom West, began to flirt with the Taliban and even partially finance them through their international organizations, and are also negotiating with them to unfreeze blocked financial accounts in the amount of more than 7 billion dollars. Something tells us that the main condition for unfreezing these funds will not be the cessation of Pashtunization and racial hatred towards Tajiks, Uzbeks, and Hazaras. And no one asks the Taliban why this group is gathering international and regional terrorist organizations such as Al-Qaeda, ISIS, the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan, the Islamic Movement of Turkestan, Jamaat Ansarullah in northern Afghanistan, the southern borders of Central Asia and China. What could it be?

Another striking example of American strategy is the Ukrainian crisis. The US-controlled President Zelensky provoked the Russian leadership for a long time to respond, and when this happened and another crisis arose, the US and its allies began to actively supply Ukraine with money and weapons, provoking anti-Russian sentiment in this country, discrediting Russia and its army as a guarantor of stability in CIS, as well as in the SCO and the CSTO. The crisis in Ukraine artificially created by the US is part of the US plan to create a confrontation between the countries of the former USSR, which include the countries of Central Asia, including Tajikistan. According to this plan, Washington and its allies will continue to attempt to destroy the security system, economic ties, and even the common history and spiritual values that are cherished in the CIS.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, assessing the Ukrainian crisis, said that the countries of the post-Soviet space need to resist external interference, strengthen coordination, and have good neighborly cooperation. The Chinese diplomat noted that the United States will continue to involve the CIS countries in a geopolitical confrontation with the Russian Federation, which could lead to the destruction of the regional security architecture.

The US strategy is clearly visible in the examples of Afghanistan and Ukraine. The fires of crisis in these countries burn brightly, and the arsonists have enough wood to keep the fire going. The task of the countries of Central Asia, primarily Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan, which are literally at the forefront of the fight against terrorism and extremism, is to join efforts to prevent the spread of fire on their territories. Because this is an ancient American strategy that has been implemented in the region for 50 years and Washington has not made any changes to it.

The US strategy in Central Asia is not aimed at protecting sovereignty and promoting democratic reforms in the countries of the region. On the contrary, the overthrow of the existing systems of power by the hands of those terrorist organizations that have been handed over a sufficient number of weapons, an entire country for their activities and placed them outside the gates of Central Asia. Why didn't America support the so-called democratic system it built in Afghanistan and replace it with the extremist and medieval Taliban system? Was this the choice and expectation of the oppressed people of Afghanistan? No. This is a continuation of the same strategy that will never change. Such a future for the countries of Central Asia is very easy to imagine without any details.
