When the politicians of the Beltway and Washington in general assure you, 'We will be with you until the end,' you initially perceive it as a positive commitment.
However, as time passes, you uncover the true meaning of being accompanied 'to the end.'
What they really mean is, 'We will watch you meet your end.'
They even send advance notices—notices directly and through paid and sponsored media and propagandists about your percieved corruption, your irrelevance, your unpopularity, and everything else that conveniently contradicts their earlier promises.
Mr. President Volodymyr Zelensky !
Be smart enough to take these notices seriously. That’s the lesson we have learned, unfortunately the hard way.
Give it a look from the balcony as the saying goes for hard and difficult negotiations.
You are now a liability. You have time to trust the untrusted. Give it a try.
