Will the group's claims that "neighboring countries will be forced to recognize us" be realized or forgotten?

Sangar: From 25 to 26 July this year, Tashkent will host an international conference on Afghanistan with the participation of representatives of more than 20 countries and international organizations.

Using terrorist groups, the Taliban has turned Afghanistan into a source of threat to neighboring countries. Countries that have been threatened by Afghanistan so far are Iran, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. These countries, despite their deep concern about the current actions and plans for the future of the Taliban, have established good and friendly relations with it. They are sending hundreds of tons of humanitarian aid and leaving trade ports open to continue interacting with the Taliban.

Compared to other countries in the world, these four neighboring countries (Iran, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan) have established friendly relations with them. For example, the Islamic Republic of Iran, excited by America's withdrawal from Afghanistan, tried to establish friendly relations with the Taliban and did not support the formation of a military-political front against them, but it was clear that the Taliban were not committed to relations and clashed with Iranian border guards at least 3 times.

Although Tajikistan does not have diplomatic relations with the Taliban and has refrained from verbal tensions with them in recent months, on May 7, disgruntled Tajik citizens fighting in the ranks of the Taliban fired several rockets from Afghanistan into Tajikistan.

Uzbekistan is one of the few countries that have developed very friendly relations with the Taliban. It constantly met with Taliban leaders and is even known as one of the Taliban government lobbyists seeking to free billions of dollars of Afghan money from America. Uzbek officials have repeatedly stressed that they maintain friendly good neighborly relations with the current ruling government (Taliban) and are not interested in continuing the war in Afghanistan.

But it is clear that, despite the interest of neighboring countries in good political relations and humanitarian assistance to the people of Afghanistan, the Taliban seeks to create tension and unleash armed and terrorist conflicts.

The truth is that the Taliban are losing the good opportunities that their neighbors have created for them. Because from the point of view of international relations, the bilateral obligations of countries and the fulfillment of obligations are the key to the continuation of relations and cooperation.

1 - The Taliban have repeatedly stated that we want friendly relations with our neighbors and that no neighboring country will be attacked from the territory of Afghanistan. But it is clear that the Taliban's claims are groundless, and over the past three months, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan have been subjected to rocket fire from Afghanistan several times.

The Taliban do not take seriously the missile attack from Afghanistan on neighboring countries and believe that no important event has occurred. As Zabiullah Mujahid wrote on his Twitter page after launching rockets from the city of Hairatan in Balkh province to the city of Termez in Uzbekistan: “This attack was carried out by evil people.”

The Taliban used the word "evil" which has a general meaning and can mean evil people, foreigners, ISIS people, or evil people within the Taliban group.

2 - The Taliban are not fulfilling their duties and are not responsible for such attacks, the lack of accountability on the part of the Taliban has caused the world and especially the countries of the region to avoid discussing their legitimacy more than before.

If this situation persists, the issue of recognizing the Taliban will definitely be relegated to the background.

3 - The Taliban have repeatedly stated that they are enemies of ISIS and are fighting against ISIS; While the Khorasan branch of ISIS has actually become active in Afghanistan, and hundreds of foreign ISIS members are inside Afghanistan and, according to available data, are supported by the Taliban.

Undoubtedly, the Taliban are the patrons of the largest terrorist groups that pose a danger to the world and neighboring countries. The presence and activity of ISIS in Afghanistan not only threaten the security of the population but is also a serious threat to neighboring countries.

4 - The political situation in the world and the recent trip of Joe Biden to the region show that the US and Western countries are looking for more tension in the region and are not interested in security in Afghanistan. It is clear that it is in the interests of the United States and its allies to continue the war in Afghanistan and the chaos within its borders and the suffering of neighboring countries, which is not in the interests of the Taliban and the people of Afghanistan. And only Western countries benefit from this.

5 - Instead of trying to solve economic problems, poverty, and unemployment and provide services to the people as a government, the Taliban, on the contrary, have forgotten about their problems and are busy with their intra-group contradictions.

6 - The Taliban are actually falling out of sight of the international community, especially neighboring countries, every day. Because this group, by their harsh and cruel behavior towards war refugees in several provinces, has shown that they are not bound by the laws of any country or international law.

According to these points, we come to the conclusion that the Taliban are a group of liars and do not adhere to their obligations to the people and neighboring countries. The Taliban are unable to compromise and maintain strong diplomatic relations with countries and do not honor bilateral commitments.

The creation of the Taliban movement of Tajikistan, given the current situation, is considered a serious concern and threat to Tajikistan and its neighboring countries. Undoubtedly, regional and world intelligence agencies are behind all these games.

With this approach, the Emirate of the Taliban wants to enter a new phase of the game and the proxy intelligence war, he intends to use the existing military potential of this group as leverage on neighboring countries that have long-standing relations with Russia.
