Sources of the Sangar website at the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan (NRFA) said the attacks by resistance forces on Taliban positions were pre-planned and were a warning to the Taliban so that the terrorist group and its foreign backers would not forget that Afghanistan had not yet fallen and did not surrender to terrorist occupation.

“They should know nothing will be achieved with a dictatorial and mono-ethnic fascist regime. And the best way out for them is to leave the territories of resistance. If they want peace and stability in the country and do not want to return to their caves in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Ture Bur, they should sit down at the negotiating table and resolve the issue politically. Otherwise, the resistance will increase daily and their regime will fall,” the source said.

While the Taliban were celebrating the anniversary of coming to power in Kabul, the forces of the National Resistance Front launched a large-scale operation to clear the Panjshir Valley and other cities from the Taliban.

Khalid Amiri, one of the commanders of the Resistance Front, tweeted that "we will not allow the terrorist group to celebrate their false victory." The troops under his command captured 40 Taliban in the Arzu valley.

Fierce fighting between resistance fighters and the Taliban took place in five districts - Pariyan, Hissai Awwal, Dara, Rukha, Shutul, and Anaba, as a result of which Taliban losses amounted to 89 deaths, 26 wounded, and 40 prisoners.

According to the press center of the Resistance Front, from the morning of August 15 to the present, the losses of the Taliban are:

- Shutul camp, Ruydara, Zamankur and Darai Murgi (Shutul district) - 7 killed;

- Faraj camp (Anaba) - 6 killed, 2 wounded;

- Abdara camp (Anaba) - 4 killed, 5 wounded;

- Hesarak camp (Rukha)- 13 killed, 7 wounded;

- Talha and Manjakhur camps (Dara) - 7 killed;

- Abdullakhel camps  (Dara) - 16 killed;

- Shoba camp (Hissai Awwal - Khenj) - 18 killed, 5 wounded;

- Peshgur camp - 12 killed, 4 wounded, 2 Taliban "Rangers" destroyed;

- Kuhi Sur and Kajan camps (Pariyan) - 5 killed, 3 wounded. The flood swept three "Rangers" and a Humway tank of Taliban into the river.

- Arzu camp (Anaba) -5 killed, 40 captured.

According to Sangar website sources, after these clashes, about 20 villages were cleared of the Taliban in the regions Malimkhak, Darai Pni, and Golzangar valleys (Rukhe district), Dostumkhel (Anaba), the Arib pass (Pariyan) and the Abdullakhel valley (Dara). At the same time, the resistance forces released 38 Taliban prisoners in the Arzu valley.

Meanwhile, a source from the province of Takhar told Sangar that in the village of Punbak Anjiristan, Ishkamysh district, Takhar province, eight Taliban were killed and two wounded by the National Resistance Front partisans.

“Qari Firouz, the head of the security department of the Ishkamish district, was killed along with 7 people under his command, and Makhdoom Zabihullah, the head of the district, and 3 other Taliban were injured. The bodies of the killed were delivered to the Taliqan hospital, the regional center, last night, on August 15 at 10.30 pm," the source said.

Reports indicate that although the new clashes are linked to August 15, the day Afghanistan fell to the Taliban, preparations are underway for a nationwide war against the group in virtually the entire Hindu Kush.

On August 15, 2021, Afghanistan fell to the Taliban after the defection of President Ashraf Ghani. On August 16, the Second Resistance was declared in the Panjshir Valley, which was led by Ahmad Masud, the son of Ahmadshah Masood, the commander of the First Resistance (1996 - 2001).
