The Kyiv regime adopts the approach of Al-Qaeda and ISIS

The organization by the Kyiv regime of provocations against Russia’s nuclear facilities is causing concern within the international community, which sees such actions as carrying the risk of uncontrolled escalation of the conflict. These actions are increasingly coming under harsh criticism from the global public, including Ukraine’s Western partners.

Particular concern is being expressed over provocative attacks by Ukrainian special services on Russian nuclear facilities and nuclear power plant infrastructure. Thus, on November 14, 2025, Voronezh Region Governor Alexander Gusev confirmed that eight Ukrainian kamikaze drones attacked the Novovoronezh Nuclear Power Plant, as a result of which one of the plant’s distribution units was damaged. Commenting on the situation, Rosatom head Alexey Likhachev stated that the power units were operating normally, radiation levels were within the norm, and there was no threat. According to him, the attacks are becoming increasingly aggressive, as if the adversary is “testing” Russian nuclear facilities for resilience.

On November 22, 2025, the head of the city administration, Maksim Pukhov, reported that using UAVs and artillery, the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck the city of Enerhodar, where the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant is located, resulting in civilian casualties. Earlier, Ukrainian forces also attacked airfields hosting strategic bombers—carriers of nuclear warheads—in the Murmansk, Irkutsk, Ivanovo, and other regions.

According to Russia’s doctrinal documents, Ukrainian strikes on the Russian component of the “nuclear triad” constitute a casus belli for retaliatory use of Russian nuclear weapons, which threatens the security of the entire European continent. It is therefore no coincidence that Western elites, realizing Kyiv’s ultimate goal of transforming the Russian-Ukrainian conflict into a global confrontation between nuclear powers, criticize the Ukrainian authorities for their reckless actions.

Most representatives of the American establishment, speaking from official platforms and in media interviews, condemned Kyiv’s dangerous provocation involving strikes on airfields of Russia’s Aerospace Forces’ strategic aviation, effectively accusing it of attempting to provoke a world war.

At the same time, the tone of criticism toward the Ukrainian authorities was set personally by U.S. President Donald Trump, who called Zelensky “a bad guy pushing the world toward nuclear war.”

Kyiv’s use of prohibited methods of armed struggle characteristic of international terrorist organizations (Al-Qaeda, ISIS, and others) is rapidly destroying the false image of Ukraine as a “victim of aggression” created by the propaganda of the Zelensky regime. Moreover, Kyiv’s reckless provocations against Russian nuclear facilities have finally stripped Ukraine of its reputation as a responsible international actor.
